The 2022 Single Barrel Tremasi Syrah is a single-vineyard wine sourced from Tremasi Vineyard in the iconic Red Mountain AVA. Farmed using sustainable practices, this site is trellised with vertical shoot positioning (VSP) and cropped to just 2–3 tons per acre, ensuring even ripening and concentrated flavor.

The 2022 growing season was ideal for Syrah—marked by consistent temperatures and a late burst of warmth extending into late October. The fruit was harvested in the cool, early morning hours to preserve natural acidity and freshness, taking full advantage of the region’s diurnal temperature shifts. The longer ripening window of the vintage further contributed to the wine’s complexity and depth.

At the winery, the fruit underwent a cold soak followed by an extended fermentation lasting over 30 days. This prolonged maceration allowed for deep flavor extraction and layered textures. The wine was aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak.

Just two barrels were ultimately selected for the final blend—producing a limited 100% Syrah bottling, unfined and unfiltered. The wine features two Syrah clones, 174 and 877, each contributing to its structure, aromatic profile, and elegance.
